The market operates daily from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, but keep in mind it closes early at 6:00 PM on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.


The market is closed on Christmas Day.

Grand-Place

The heart of Brussels comes alive with a majestic Christmas tree and a captivating sound and light show that runs every evening. The Grand-Place is also home to a stunning nativity scene, making it a must-visit stop.

Marché aux Poissons

  • Christmas Market: With over 200 chalets, visitors can explore a wide array of gifts, crafts, and festive foods. The market emphasizes quality, with many stalls displaying the WINTER WONDERS label, indicating authentic craftsmanship.


  • Ice Skating Rink: Located at Place De Brouckère, the rink is open daily from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with earlier closing at 6:00 PM on December 24 and 31. Admission is €8 for adults (16 years and older) and €5 for children under 16. A designated area is available for toddlers, and skates that fit over shoes are provided. The rink is covered by a transparent roof, allowing for skating in any weather.


  • Sound and Light Show: Held at the Grand-Place, this mesmerizing show runs from November 29, 2024, to January 4, 2025, between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Note that there are no shows on December 24 and 31.


  • Giant Ferris Wheel: Situated at Vismet, the Ferris Wheel offers panoramic views of Brussels from a height of 55 meters. It operates daily from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM and includes a specially-equipped cabin for persons with reduced mobility


  • Curling Rinks: Adjacent to the ice skating rink at Place De Brouckère, three ice curling rinks are available for those looking to try this winter sport.


  • Santa’s Reindeer Merry-Go-Round: This enchanting ride, located at Place De Brouckère, features reindeer- and sleigh-shaped gondolas, reaching a peak height of 10 meters. It's a favorite among children and operates daily from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

  • Winter Vox Choirs: Every Saturday and Sunday until December 22, enchanting choir performances take place at the Black Tower, adding a magical touch to the festivities.


  • Guest of Honor – Le Var: Each weekend, starting on Friday evenings, the guest of honor, Le Var, hosts themed activities at Place de la Bourse, showcasing the culture and traditions of this beautiful destination.
