Antwerp might not feel like home to me the way Leuven does, but it’s still a city I love to visit, especially for a shopping day with friends who live there.
Antwerp is a city that seamlessly blends history, culture, and modern flair. Known as the diamond capital of the world, it’s also packed with architectural gems like the stunning Cathedral of Our Lady and the modern MAS (Museum aan de Stroom), which offers breathtaking views of the city.
For me, Antwerp is a shopping paradise. From high-end fashion in the trendy Zuid district to quirky finds on Kloosterstraat, there’s something for everyone. And when the shopping bags get heavy, I love grabbing a drink or a bite at one of the city’s lively squares, like the bustling Groenplaats or the charming Grote Markt.
